690 Women's Fitness is a full-service women-only health and fitness club boasting over 7,000 sq ft facility. We provide group fitness classes, personal training, cardio-strengthening equipment, free weights, and nutritional services.

Do you know our story?

Our facility was called Tinderbox Fitness and in the previous years known as Women’s Wellness. The health of the business was not well prior to the pandemic, which then lead into March of 2020 during the height of closures and the pandemic Tinderbox Fitness officially closed its doors. In April 2020 Tinderbox underwent new ownership by Amalia N. (Featured on the front page of Winston Salem Journal, who buys a gym during the Pandemic, and walks away from her career)

We were not able to officially open for business until the governor allowed it in September of 2020. With the donations from the community and existing members we were able to put all efforts to save “Tinderbox” and since April 2020 our mission has become “Saving Tinderbox”.

We would like to share our gratitude to our members, community, instructors, staff, and media for their support of our efforts. We have been featured in Winston Salem Journal, Spectrum News, and WXii News 12.

And now we would like to thank you for your support, you help us keep our doors open!

August 2023 we changed names to 690 Women’s Fitness under the same ownership, we believe in building brand equity as we wanted to make an impact in our community by ensuring our community is aware that there is a a local fitness facility providing women a friendly, supportive and comfortable environment with services to provide them with group fitness classes, personal training services, equipment and more.

We thrive on providing women in the community with a non-intimidating, non-judgemental atmosphere and a well-trained staff to provide you with the best fitness experience possible. We have something for EveryBODY and every fitness level.
